Strangely enough, I agree...
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationwo...track=morenews
The more Liberal among us would scream atrocities, due to the innocent lives lost. I thought as much at first, more along the lines of the fact that the US could have sent a ground team instead, to pick out those who did need to be eliminated. But, for one, the village decided to invite these militants, knowing full well what they were, exposing these 'innocents' to danger either way. Who's to say how many, in fact, were 'innocent'? Also, if the village is that sympathetic towards the militants, sending ground forces will expose our troops to undue risk. I only wish there was a more subtle way the strike could have been done.

Re: Strangely enough, I agree...
Precision bombing reduces the chance of hitting civilians, it doesn’t totally eliminate it so it is a damn shame that those kids got caught in the crosshairs. You're right that those villagers shouldn't have be cozying up to those militants.

Re: Strangely enough, I agree...
I doubt any of them were truly "innocent". Birds of a feather and all that. It is to bad about the children though. At least none of them were beheaded with a dull knife while they begged for mercy.
