i was just wanting to be sure of how to change the plugs and wires in my 2000 gxe with a 2.4. any help is greatly appreciated!

You should use Iridium sparkplugs like Nissan did OE. The ignition system should run over 100,000 mi without service. There is no adjustment or gap measuring on '99 or later. Use a rubber hose as an extension to start the plugs into the threads down inside the tubes. The hose will prevent crossthreading. Tightening the sparkplugs correctly is important. If they aren't tight enough to seal, a small amount of compression will leak past the threads until enough pressure builds up in the sparkplug tube and blows your new wire off of the plug. If they are overtightened, they may not come out or damage the threads in the cyl head. Use a torque wrench and torque to 22 ft lbs. AutoZone will loan you one if you don't have one. Replace the cap and rotor at the same time so that you have replaced every part of the secondary high voltage ignition. Leave the old wires plugged onto the distributor cap so you can referance wire location if necasary. Cooling system inspection and tune-up has never been more important because engines last longer, often using aluminum heads and radiators.
