Stang vs. 05 Accord Coupe V6

This was my brother in law's wife's car. It is completely stock, he just bought it for her and was talking smack about how fast it is. When he told me, "yeah this thing will take your mustang" I chuckled and said uhh.. no it won't. He continued on until he provoked me to let him try. We went out to a road that night and raced from a stop sign to about 1/2 mile. Even though I could't get traction in first and he beat me off the line (I had just got the 3.73 rear end that morning and was a little aggressive off the clutch) Anyway by the time I hit second I was a car length ahead and beat him by a LOOONG ways (can't even measure in car lengths). Needless to say he isn't talking trash anymore. I was running him without the most aggressive tune I had (still had 87 in the tank) It would be worse with the other tune. I told him " yeah my flowmasters are pretty loud from back there aren't they? He just shot me the finger and went home.

anyways i was under the impression than GT mustangs were supposed to run premium 91 octane at a minimum all the time...

Nah stock they run regular gas. I am positive on that one.

That would be sweet BUT it is sooo damn expensive to do it right. About 7-8g's for turbo vs. 4-5g's for SC. Plus from what I have read the SC will last a little longer than the turbo's AND there is alot of aftermarket crap for SC mustangs and not as much for turbos. IE cams, heads. blah blah. With turbos you get into buying alot of expensive parts to go along with them. But I am sure yall know that.

Good kill. I've heard that those new Accord V6's dyno around 230whp. I'm sure your torque advantage helped out. I've read that the new accord w/ a 6 speed can run mid 14's, but that's still a half second slower then your stang would be if it was stock, as such i'm not surprised by the outcome.

well if you go turbo, the cams that you use for a super charger and turbo should be the same, same with the heads. the only thing thats different is the exhuast manifold ( this means you can't use headers ) and your aftermarket intake won't work. but turbo kits comes with everything you need. but generally yeah if you go turbo with a v8 it would be a waste if you don't rebuild internals since they can usually make enough boost to make atleast 400-500whp.

Good kill. The Accord, especially the EX-V6 MT is actually impressive. I have driven them and they are much quicker than you'd expect an Accord to be. Nonetheless, not enough for a modded Stang. You should look into a Procharger if you're going S/C.
