i have a 1993 grand marquis it started slippin real bad so my dumbass goes and nuetral dropped it now it don't have reverse or nuetral but now it don't slip at all i was just wondering if there is anyone that would happen to know what happend there. is it the tranny ? or tourqe converter?or both?

Complete tranny rebuild or just replace it. I have never in my entire car mod'ing life heard of someone slipping a auto tranny to the point of it completely skipping over not only 1, but 2 gears.

Now, don't take that the wrong way, but in a cynical way, its sorta funny? I would take ur car to a tranny specialist and see what he has to say. Sometimes all you need is a new plate, tranny fluid and a computer reset and your fine. Hope this helps.

Also weigh the cost of a Ford factory rebuilt tranny. they are usually cheaper than a rebuild and some have a 2 year warranty. Talk to the guy in the parts department for a price.
