Unhappy 97 Cav Z24 Dies Over And Over

I Drive A 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 (automatic) 203,228 Kms
Owned the car for about 5 months never had a problem with it.
until.

I was sitting at a red light and the car made a sputtering noise and i looked at my tachometer and the RPMs were slowly reving between 1 and 2 and the car seemed to be shaking and within seconds the entire car shutoff.. I started it again and within 5 seconds it happened again i pulled it over and let it sit and about 15 minutes later i drove it home fine.. Next day same thing while pulling out of a parking lot, it is very wet where i live and some have said Vapor Lock is a possibility but im not sure? any ideas?

THanks in advance

Turns Out It Was the Fuel Pump... anyone know how much those are running for for a 97 Cavalier Z24?
