95 Z28 Transmition wont shift to 3rd!!??

Hi, i have a SERIOUS issue. My 95 camaro Z28 v-8 auto transmition will not shift to 3rd gear. Either haulling a$$, or just putting along, it will shift just fine to first, second, but right when it hits the "speed" and RPMs of when its soposed to shift to 3rd gear it wont, the rpms will stay there, and it will not go ANY faster. even if I put more gas to it the RPMs go up, but the car wont go any faster (35MPH). Checked the fluid, seems good, added some more just incase, n its still like that. I called some places and they said either the shift gear solenoid died, or it may need a flush, or the tranny is F-ed. I need some input please! What to do? Plus, if it is the solenoid, any idea what the numbers/or whatever are n maybe i can find one off ebay? lol. Thanks ALOT!

Any parts or something i could buy to fix this? Im a student and cant afford a whole new tranny. Anyone think that the flush/sylonoide could fix this?

Re: 95 Z28 Transmition wont shift to 3rd!!??

Ok just got new input. It will shift into 4th tho, "OD" if i punch it, and let it get to 50-60 in D then pop it into OD, it will allow me to go faster...it will actually be in a gear. So, what does this signafy? I cant see 3rd "breaking" and 4th be fine. Would this be a sylanoid?
