tsi wont start

this is for my friends 92 tsi, it ill start from the begining, he was really stepping on it one day and the timing jumped and he ended up ruining his bottem end, so he got a new moter with a 16 g turbo on it, hooked up to a ported and polished head on a non turbo block on low boost, the shop that put it in let a kid from a school program work on it and he ended up hooking up the battery wrong and frying some fuses, now the car wont start, it turns over, there is spark, but there is no pulse getting to the injectors, their getting power but they're not working. he bought another ecu but still the same problem, no more blown fuses, or relays. is their an obvious problem or is it some annoying dam sensor thats messing it up. need some help bad

I agree it sounds like a short. You can do what i just did and take apart the entire wiring harness to track down the problem. You may fnd some fried wires somewhere. BTW why woould the fucking shop let some kid fuck with his car? shouldn't they be the ones fixing it?

Probably a work study type program or an aprentaship(sp). I had this problem on a cherokee that I was working on. injectors had power but werent pulsing. ended up being a bad driver circut. Injectors always have power, the thing that makes them pulse is they get grounded most of the time its in the pcm but I'm not sure on the specifics on a talon. since you already replaced the psm I would have to agree with ez since you dont really have testing tools I'm guessing, you'll probably have to do it the hard way and track down the harness. If you happen to have a digital multimeter(if you dont you can buy one at sears for $20) you can test the injectors to see if they are getting grounded and if they are then you probably have a problem somewhere else in your fuel system, maybe a bad pump or pluged filter or something along that line. Good luck
