98 Tension Strut Nut Size

Hello,

This weekend I am working on the front suspension.

I want to change the lower control arm, since the ball joint rubber casing is gone! Before I can get to it, I need to remove the tension strut.

BUT, the nut goes to the both end of the tension strut are HUGE. I don't have a socket or wrench that big. What is the size of that sucker? (This is on 98 3.8L.) I need to go to AZ to get the right size socket.

hi, never mind. i figured it out myself. it's 15/16. my neighbor had a wrench, so i used his.

i replaced lower control arm/ball joint on the driver's side this afternoon. tomorrow, passenger side!
