87 2.8 camaro no start

In the past two days I have changed the coil, module, cap, rotor.

I have power into the bottom of the coil and distrib.

Under the cap was extreamly corr so I wire brushed it the best I could.

One funny thing I see is none of the dash lights between the spedo and fuel gauge come on when I turn the key.

I do get a brake and check eng light.

When I bought the new coil I just pigey backed it and did not secure it to its bracket.

I hope to get some help becuse this is really begining to get to me.

Thank you

Yes it is turing over and the rotor is turing.

I checked the pick up coil with a ohm meter today and it reads bad.

My thoughts are to replace the entire distrib due to the amount of corr on the old one it will come with a mod, pick up coil for $144.00 at advance auto

$144? Napa has the v8 ones for $125, shop around if you're going that route.
