300zx vs. Integra
I am driving my '90 Z back to my friends house with him in the passenger seat. We were just cruising along when I get a honk from behind. I speed up to see if it was intentional and he follows.
We stop at a light and I see that it is a friend of mine in his friend's integra. He told me he's never seen a Z run and wanted to - then I told him that it wasn't twin turbo and he was dissapointed. The light went green and we both rolll off the line slow then nail it in 1st. I threw it into 2nd at about 5,500 RPMs (my redline is 6,500-7000) and ran through 2nd to about 55 - 5500 RPM, and ran it up to about 70 - let off. He had a nose on me and was pulling - if we would have went up farther he would have pulled another car or 2. The worst part - I could hear the fucker's engine BUZZING next to me as he walked on by. Beat by an integra, sweet.

integra beating a 300z come on his shit must be really modded or yur just a shitty driver next time go for broke i mean yur runnin 222 hp not sure bout the curb weight of yur car but if u had any mods at all even bolt ons yur at least up to 230 hp what year was the integra ??? gsr???

yeah the teg has to be modded.....but the 300zx is also pretty heavy so I dont know....

well coming from a j30 owner (same tranny and engine) i don't see how a stock integra could beat you. it must have something done to it.
the engine puts out 220hp in the z with nothing done to it. (mine's a lil less due to it being a sedan  )i dunno.. either that or you just need to practice a little more with your launch (rwd.. cmon..)

N/A 300ZX's run high 15's according to the rags last time I checked. I can believe that a GSR or a Type R would beat him. Heck, the 300ZX weighs alot and only has 222hp.

I beat a 300 once. Wouldn' mind racing one again.

At the time, McLaren was racing successfully with Honda engines, and it seemed logical to approach Honda for an engine meeting Murray's requirements. But the Japanese declined, feeling that they could not spare the capacity to develop such a project.
