gas leaking out exhaust pipes

i recently changed my fuel pump / filter and sending unit on a 94 s 10 blazer v6 vortec and drove once it ran real rough leaked out the passager side front wheel well what looked like transmission fluid another problem i will have to fix at another date it sat for about 6 months before got fuel problem fixed had two dumb asses work on it finally fixed myself. now the real problem i started it second time to check fuel pressure and now it leaks gas out the exhaust pipe before and at the catalyst converter at first thought it was a blown head gasket because of the thick smoke but checked the classic signs and the oil looks fine and there is plenty of coolant it ran just fine before the fuel pump went out please help i would hate to have to sell it with nothing more than a minimal problem thanks

Re: gas leaking out exhaust pipes

Welcome to Automotive Forums cm3802.

It makes it easier for us to help you if we know what year your blazer is.

If your sure that it's gas then you have a badly flooding motor. I guess that it ran rough.

Which basicly means that there is something wrong with your fuel injection system, or your ignition system.

There is a pretty good fuel systems test guide located here
http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/fuelsystem.html

The first thing that I would do is test your fuel presure.

Have fun with it.
