Prelude as a road race car?

How is the Handling on the 97+ Prelude's? How would it perform as a road race car, and as an Auto X car? I know its a little bigger and heavier then an integra and stuff, but what are you guys' opinions or experiences on it? Thanks.

Re: Prelude as a road race car?

The Prelude is indeed an excellent handling car, but.. if you are interested in AutoX then I'd reccomend you look at the Prelude Type-SH (Sport Handling) since it has a feature called ATTS (Active Torque Transfer System).

What this does, is it enables the car to have cornering ability like a RWD car, while still having the same traits as a FWD car. In tight/fast corners, ATTS works by increasing torque to outboard the front wheel which gives you better steering response. So basically, it neutalizes understeer for hard cornering.

Hope this helped.

Yea. Thanks a lot. The Type SH was what I was looking into, so that helped.

Re: Prelude as a road race car?

So how do you think a Prelude SH would do compared to a GSR or maybe even a 300ZX. I don't mean which is faster, but which would perform the best or basically, will the prelude make a very good road racer?

Re: Prelude as a road race car?

An SH would spank a GSR, but a 300zx im not sure on, the 300zx is ALOT heavier, but they do handle nicely.
