The SRT-4 probably makes more torque at idle than you do at peak. Spooled or not, you didn't get the "jump" on an SRT-4.

Not that it makes much difference but his mighty V6 is supposed to make 185lbs/ft from what I read. It still sucks though.

Re: '96 Monte Carlo/'05 Neon SXT

I dont see why everyone putting this guy down. I've driven a 95' Pontiac Grand Prix SE w/ 3.1L v6 and that little thing had balls, it could definetly take a SXT. that thing had low end and even better top end..

plus, did you guys even look at his list of mods? stock the car runs low 16 or better.. i'm sure its faster then stock.. so i see no reason for it not beating a neon sxt

We're not questioning whether or not the car could take an SXT. Just that the race never actually took place. And furthermore, that the poster is a tool...

Re: '96 Monte Carlo/'05 Neon SXT

The race happened. I won. Me and my cousin joked about slips, but did race for $40. thought I'd add it to the story for entertainment purposes. Quit picking my posts apart and just read 'em. It was supposed to be mildy funny, at best.

Hey now i aint tooling i know the difference between the 2 im just saying that there both fast. srt could blow its doors off of course but the cars are light and with there power they make a deadly mix of course a turbo srt will be a regular base sxt theres like what 75-100 difference in torque. But hey who gives a damn i havent raced a srt yet so i dunno what there capable of (im surrounded by trucks and grand pricks anyway there fun to pick apart).
