horrible noise when racing

my 93.5 g20 is a 5 speed. It's pretty much fine but when i get going around 80-100mph (somewhere in that range) this noise will all of a sudden start to happen. It sounds kinda like im going over a rumble strip. Once it comes on I've always slowed down a bit an then it goes away. But if i speed back up again it'll come back. It sounds like it's coming from the passenger front wheel. Does anyone know what it could be? I really wanna max out my car an see what she's got but i can't! HELP!

First off! That's not discussed in this forum. If you want to talk about hitting top speeds and street racing go somewhere else. If you are doing this on a closed circuit, I apologize for the attack! If not, well enough said.

Second! I have a few ideas about your sound. They are:

1. Your tire is wobbling at higher speeds because it is out of balance. You could have all four wheels re-balanced
2. Your right front motor mount, located near your passenger wheel well behind your radiator overflow has gone bad and needs replaced.
3. Your struts are going and your tire might actually being bouncing erratically at that speed as if it were rolling over rumble strips.

I actually was on a closed circuit an I'm sorry i didn't include that earlier. And thanks for your help, i think that it is the struts in my car, im planning on having them replaced soon. Does anyone know how much struts are to replace?

NISMOPC: I dont mean to be a dick here, but I dont appreciate it when your being an ass to other people out on the forum. If your gonna accuse someone of something, say it by PM. Dont display your lack of respect for others in the forum by doing it out in the open. Second, his question had nothing to do with any "Illegal Racing" or anything like that. There are freeways and roads in the US that have high speeds, So i dont think it was all that necessary to get shook up and police the guy. If you sit and read what he was trying to say, then you might have a clue. So Stop trying to play daddy here. People dont drop turbos and mod there cars for the simple grace of "Going 20 in a 25MPH" Most people who mod their cars dont even have a track membership of any kind. So back to the question. I believe a more appropriate response for this would be:
Have your tires rotated and balanced, check your alignment and suspension. Dont worry about your engine mounts cuz its never gonna be that.
That's all that needed to be said here.

Hey L3thalg20boy! What's going on? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed.

Please let me know of

that are located here in the US where a person can legally drive up to 100MPH. I would love to know of some.

Been looking for a reason to do it myself, legally. (And no I am not an angel when it comes to obeying the speed limits)

As for respect...

...I have full respect of all forum members and my post was never meant to be taken as you viewed it. As I am sure you did a thorough search of my prior posts to see just how terrible of a person I really am and how disrespectful I am to all of the members.

It is a known fact that the majority of members on this forum do not generally reply to individuals who openly speak about going above the legal speed limits. He did not state in his post that it was a closed circuit and therefore I replied as it was stated.

Oh, and for the
Quote:
So Stop trying to play daddy here.
, take it up with the moderators if you have a problem. Look at it this way, you had no respect whatsoever replying in the fashion that you did nor have any right telling me what you appreciate and don't appreciate. If I was bad mouthing someone or bashing someone for no apparent reason, then so be it. I deserved getting your type of rash, insensitive, and non-sincere reply. Since none of that took place go prance on someone elses parade and let me get back to proactive posting!

Oh, one more thing. On a good note, been to your site a few times. Like the lay out. Very eye catching.

It's all good!

igor: Lock this FUCKING thread down. Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!

Where the hell are these guys coming from!

Hey TIZAO! Enjoy racing on the streets and driving over the speed limit. Enjoy the thrill! Great. So be it!

I hope you also enjoy mourning over the members of our SR20DE community who thought the same thing and are no longer with us.

Go fucking be an ass to someone else, somewhere else and maybe think before you speak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I learned my lesson many years ago and don't need people like you saying, "yea, right on" about other peoples comments when you don't even read into the content of the thread!

Speed Limits in Montana
Numerical daytime speed limits went into effect in Montana on May 28, 1999, for the first time since the federal speed limit was lifted in December 1995.

The numerical limits replaced the so-called "basic rule" as Montana’s primary speed limit law. The basic rule required motorists to drive in a careful and prudent manner for conditions but did not set a maximum number of miles per hour. The 1999 Legislature enacted a proposal by Attorney General Joe Mazurek and Governor Marc Racicot to reinstate numerical limits for cars and light trucks.
The highest speed limit in Montana is 75MPH by law as of May 28, 1999

http://www.doj.state.mt.us/mhp/speedlim.htm

I'd like to know where a G20 can go on a closed circuit at over 100MPH, since he is trying to see what it can do. That would have to be one hell of a straight away now wouldn't it. Even on a 1/4 mile track, by the time your around 100, you have already passed the 1/4 mile marker a ways back and you are probably pouncing the brakes pretty hard to slow down.
