2002 cavalier mods

ok, I gotta (well my girlfriend) '02 cavalier with the 2.2 liter and unfortunatly it's an automatic. But I was wondering what are some good mods to do to it to gain some power. It already has an exhaust and an intake but that's it. So if you can help me out that would be great.

Re: 2002 cavalier mods

Shift kit would be a good start seeings as it is auto. You arent going to get going real fast but you could also put on CAI, header ect.

Re: 2002 cavalier mods

Maybe you should find out what stuff is before you ask for pricing. If you dont know what stuff is in the least bit you are just setting yourself up to waste a lot of money.

Re: 2002 cavalier mods

a shift kit on his car would be pointless. Those are more so geared for cars that are running alot more HP than stock.

Well what engine is it? The LN2 or the Ecotec?

Re: 2002 cavalier mods

As far as relatively cheap mods, intake, exhaust and header is basically it. You can make sure the car is well taken care of, that should help it run at the top of its game all the time.

Re: 2002 cavalier mods

are there parts that can be swaped over from the z24 engine to the ecotech or is that not possible. Also, how about bigger fuel injectors and what not to feed it more fuel...will that do anything?

Re: 2002 cavalier mods

Nope, ecotec and z24 engines are separate from each other. Bigger injectors and whatnot wouldnt help you unless you're running boost, but that costs lots of money. All they'd do for you now is burn extra gas.
