2002 sunfire help needed

i have a 02 sunfire with 2.2 L engiene not an ecotec. The fuel level started to show wrong the fuel tank is half empty but it says that it's almost full. A few days ago i tried to start a car but it won't start with a half tank of gasoline. i had to put almost 8 gallons to make it start. this problem repets all the time. What could it be? the biggest problem is that i am in europe and need to order parts online if needed. So iof you guys know what could it be please specify the part in the term that i could find on internet/ thank you

Re: 2002 sunfire help needed

What you need for your car is a fuel tank level sensor and sending unit. You can try all the good sites like rockauto.com or gmpartsdirect.com to find one. I looked it up but didn't know which vin your engine corresponded to so once you search you should be able to find it. You will have to remove the fuel pump to change it though which can be quite involved. Good Luck!

Yes! Good Luck! Before you order I would call them to make sure that is everything you need to replace the unit. Sometimes they have different numbers for small items. By the way your engine vin number is 4 the others are F or T.
