belt tensioner +coolant lines removal on a 99

I've got my 99 buick lesabre torn down to change the belt tensioner. I the two easy coolant lines removed and all 4 bolts. This peice is ready to come off, but there are two other coolant lines that have connections that i am not familar with.

Those last two coolant are holding me up. So far I only have an hour in this job...till those last two coolant lines with mysterious connections stopped me.

How do i remove them? Do i just pull them stright out the block, or leave them in the block and FORCE them out of hte tensioner assembly?

Oh and this is my first post, so HELLO everybody!!

Re: belt tensioner +coolant lines removal on a 99

man, whats with you guys? Has nobody here removed the freakin belt tensioner on thier buick yet?

UPDATE: I finally got it off. the black plastic elbows that were installed from the factory are meant to be replaced when you remove the belt tensioner. If you are doing this job yourself, goto the dealer and get the black plastic elbows, one goes from the intake manifold to the belt tensioner and the other goes from the water pump to belt tensioner.

These peices break upon removal. If you can remove them without breaking them *bows down* your a freakin god!

What happened to your original belt tensioner? You're the first person I've heard with a late model car that's had to replace it.

The belt tensioner would squeal after driving in the rain. It wasn't bad at first. It would stop squaling once it dried, like the next day or so. But here recently, it began to go on for 3 and 4 days.
