My 04 Montana's automatic headlights (daytime running lights) seem to prefer to stay in the headlight mode which tends to shorten the life of the Silverstar bulbs I like to use. Even in bright sunlight, if the sensor at the base of the windshield is in shadow the headlights come on. Is there any easy fix for this? How about enlarging the sensor hole so more light can get to the sensor?

Re: Automatic headlights (DRLs)
Mine don't seem to be quite as sensitive. Sometimes the headlights don't want to come on as soon as I think they should.
Anyway, a few months back, I remember a post about the headlights STAYING ON all the time. It seems that there was some "fuzzy things" or dirt down in the sensor. A good cleaning with a Q-tip and some alcohol fixed it right up. Hope this helps. Take Care,
