Car is completely dead

Hey everyone,

I am at my dad's house downtown and i leave my car outside for 4 hours and its been running fine. I leave to go start my 1995 vr4 and i get nothing. No lights, nothing works on the car. I don't even hear a noise when i turn the key; just silence. Anyone help or have any ideas what is going wrong. I have 74K on my car too and it has a battery that is about 2 years old and i frequently drive the car.

Re: Car is completely dead

Did you check the battery? Because...that would be the place to start. Did you do the 60K service? If not, it could also be the alternator.

Yeh i fixed it after looking under the hood at everything for a while. All this crap built up on one of the connections of the battery so i loosened the connection and cleaned off the all the crap. Then i cracked the connector and I was gonna just try to zip tie it on but then i decided I don't want to be stuck on the west side of chicago going down the Eisenhower trying to go back to my town. I missed a good party down at DePaul and its my last saturday before break ends.
