hey guy i want to buy a 4runner but im not sure what gas does a year 1998-2002 uses. can u please help me out with this question. thank you.
Also what is the towing capacity for those years

Regular works fine in stock setups.
There are towing packages installed on the 2nd gen to provide additional engine oil cooling.
It is a very good recommendation to install secondary automatic transmission cooler if you have an automatic.
Do not even try to tow with the additional cooler, I have overheated the AT OIL just wheeling in the mountains!
The standard additional external oil cooler Toyota put on is a joke very small and is located just behind and to the side of the front passenger side wheel. Any mud at all and it plugs up.
Don't tow anything from the stock bumper as it is only mounted to the floor board NOT the frame (1992)
