How to sell these tires?

Hey there, Okay, here it goes:

I've got this extra set of tires which I got along with my used car I purchased 1 1/2 years ago. They're in great shape and I had sealed them in huge trash bags.

So they're sitting around my apartment. hehehe, That's the problem! THEY'RE SITTING AROUND MY APARTMENT!

I'm sure as heck not going to just give them away, but what'd you think? Is it normal for folks to go to a tire dealership and sell them the tires? I'd rather not have to post an ad for this. (too much of a hassle in my opinion). I mean heck, when it's time for me to finally buy new ones they're not going to cost THAT MUCH, right?

Again, I'm not looking for a profit of any kind here, just to get these out of the way without losing too much.

Help.....

some mechanics sell tires, you could ask one of them. ebay would be the only other place i can think of.

Re: How to sell these tires?

People buy and sell used tires all the time.

I bet that the NYC area has at least one classified newspaper where people advertise lots of stuff. Likely they have a car parts section.
Our local paper has a "tires/wheels" section which runs dozens of tire ads each week.

Thanks for the reply. Yah, someone I know let me know that there's a tire shop near my home that buys as well as sells them.

Will pass by when they open again on Monday.
