1992 mgm power door locks

when i use my power door locks it maks this very lour whining noise anyone know what that might be caused from

Sounds like a worn out door lock selenoid. Is this sound coming from all of the doors or can you tell where from? Also, does your car have the safety feature that locks the doors either when you switch out of park or reach 10-20 mph? I heard a whining noise also, but only when the car automatically locked the doors. It turned out just to be a bad selenoid.

i have no auto lock feature i dont know if it comes from all the doors because wen i press the lock thing its so loud i cant tell what one its coming from but i think its the drivers door

I'm pretty sure it's your driver door lock actuator, there are no other mechanical components that would make a loud noise

ok so can i fix it my self and if so will i need a new part and hiw much is the part and if i cant fix it how much is it to get ford to do it?
