remote engine starter

hey....anybody know anything about remote starters ...im worryed that if i get one somebody could grab my code and steal my car .......also is there a type that is better than the rest?.........any info helpful

I wouldn't worry too much about someone grabbing your codes. Even if someone did manage to start your car remotely, they won't be going far because without the key once the brake is pressed the car automatically shuts down. As for whats good and whats not, I wouldnt know... Just remember, you get what you pay for.

friend has one(Viper 791XV) on his 1986 caprice classic doesn't started 100% with it being carburerated and all but is probably the best couple hundred of dollars invested into his ride:

i just got a remote start installed on my 93 caprice last week and its the best thing i couldve done. i bought a BOA and it seems to work alright. vipers are the most popular, but much more expensive. i paid 75 for mine and 100 to get it installed
