Re: msd ignition

it's simple to install & msd supplies great instructions. cap, plugs, & wires are common sense, the rest ins't so bad either. The msd box has 6 wires and 2 of those go to the coil. I have a MSD SCI w/ rev, MSD cap, MSD HVB coil, & MSD wires I was about to list on ebay if your interested. There are pics of all of it in my gallery and here is a pic of the wiring diagram.

Re: msd ignition

i got the same set up and paid much more then 350 for it, but it was easy to put in and i gained about 2-3hp from it and got a better burn also, my biggest problem was figuring out where to mount the 6A box and external coil. my 6a got mounted on the driverside engine mount(chassis side) and the coil was put between the intake tube(CAI) and wheel well, the thing with that is the intake tube is not sitting in that corner well and throws off the angle that goes behind the bumper cover, i may relocate my battery to the trunk and build a bracket to relocate the coil to where the battery was. but the install went smoothly and quickly. Re: Re: msd ignition

My box was mounted in the car so it's in perfect condition. The only problem with having it in the car is noise, but a radio or high rpm's fix that....I know it costs more than $350 new. There was a huge difference before and after the msd, there was also a head & cam was removed & replaced with a stock head. Now it's stock with an intake, oh boy, that baby is SLOW!
