Car won't start

I stopped driving my car for about a week and now I can't get it to start, we found that there is no spark coming from any of the plugs and a friend told us there is a crank sensor or something with the name like that. I was wondering where would this part be at on my car?

What year is it, this is info for a 1st Gen Neon, about that sensor.

Does the car crank but not turn over? The battery could have died on you...

My car is 97 dohc, and a few things on that link u gave me is very helpful cause right before my car died it jerked a lot while i was driving it. The battery is fine cause we had tried to push start the car and it still wouldn't start, plus it does crank over just doesn't want to do anything else.

Try to replace the sensor first, & see what happens. If problems still occure, we'll go from their.
