fiero 2.8 rebuild

hi auto nuts. i have a 1985 fiero gt 2.8 17,000 miles and need to do a rebuild. sitting in my shop i have a 1986 2.8 type R engine punched 60 over. can anyone tell me if it is possable to swap from a type B to a type R 2.8 thanks for the help
