1994 Deville Inner tie rod PLEASE HELP!

Hi

I will be doing my father cadillac due to a bad inner tie rod. Now the instructions mention the need to remove the rack and pinion. Is this really necesary? Please anyone with good knowledge reply.

I have done many cars and thats not necessary. any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Edwin

The outer tie rod can be removed easily. But I think since the inner tie rod is attached inside the rack, you will need to remove it. Are you sure it's the inner tie rod that's bad? I've never heard of them going bad!

Inner tie rod PLEASE HELP!

I have play in the wheel and I already replaced the wheel bearing. When I shake the wheel I feel the inside tie rod moving. I can try to replace the outer one but I know the inside one is also bad.
