88-90 Escort LX Grommet 4 Kickdown Linkage

I have a 1988 Escort LX and I'm looking for the Grommet for the Kickdown linkage that is according to Ford, Obsolete and of course that means It can't be bought or ordered from Ford or any place that orders from Ford, I wired the linkage and the rod together with some really stiff and strong wire in the smaller of the two holes in the Linkage and now the transmission will shift up and down again, But It won't rev past about 4,100-4,300rpm now, It used to go up to near 6,000rpm. It could come from any 88-90 escort hatchback with an Automatic Transmission. The engine is a 1.9L EFI model.

I'm also looking for an electrical switch for the trunk light that is close to stock as the original part is broken and Obsolete just like the Grommet mentioned above is.

No, Being I can't walk very far I've only called or emailed and so nothing has turned up. I'll try rockauto.com.

I looked in rockauto and there is no kickdown linkage of any sort listed, Nor even the part number 7F480 is listed. I may call them since they do also have a toll free number.

No such luck, A part I suspected wasn't It and so for the moment rockauto is of no help.
