want my 2000 Mustang to be louder

I'm new here, but I really think this website can help me answer any questions I might have. My question here is how can I get my 2000 V6 Mustang to sound like a pure muscle car and have that deep, pure rumble that is distinctive to a muscle car? I have dual exhaust on the car, and it is somewhat loud. The thing is, I want it to be louder and deeper in sound. I'm not sure what I can do at this point. I am looking for a cost effective way to improve the sound of my car and a way to keep it from raising my insurance, which is already high enough (I've heard that adding aftermarket products can raise your insurance). Help me out here anyone.

Re: want my 2000 Mustang to be louder

no. go to this website http://www.3.8mustang.com/forum/show...t=65566&page=4

go to the user named greensteeda. he has a very loud v6 exhaust, sounds awesome. he has mac flowpath mufflers.

also take ur air silencer off ur intake, thatll make a small difference, idk if youll notice it or not. also keep in mind that its a v6, no matter what you do its not going to sound like a v8

Screw loud, go fast! Once you take a hit off of the "Go Fast Crack Pipe" its very hard to put down.

Re: want my 2000 Mustang to be louder

That's why I love my 2k GT. BBK full lengths, MAC prochamber (off-road), and SLP LoudMouth II Cat back... Sounds like twice it's real displacement, and runs like a raped ape. And i tried the airbox trick with my stock exhaust, maybe I'm not sensitive enough to notice, but I didn't hear any change in exhaust note.

Rice much? That's an insult to even a V6.
