95 Air bag light blinking.. may buy!!

I just test drove a 95 F150 302 4wd... but the Air Bag light blinks all the time I test drove about 5 miles,, kinda weary of this,, is this common? and what causes,, they either work or dont work..right..
any special way to reset this.. need a answer before I may a offer next weekend.. thanks Phil......

srs systems can be unstable w\codes this one obviously has some. clock springs are a common cause of srs failures. not that this is the cause but if you are ok w\o srs this could could be a bargaining point to get the price down. if you buy it disable it or fix it. getting it scaned could give an idea of whats inv olved...maybe. repair would likely require a real good scan tool and some ford info.

I guess the real question is ; will it cost big bucks to get fixed? and what usually causes this to blink?,, also does it mean that when the light is blinking that the air bag it out of commission?

The Dealer emailed me back; said their repair source could not get a code?
but refferrred me to a site that had 12 items that can cause the blinking air bag light,, however my friend (has FORD ASE classes) said knowing the year and sysptom sounds like the clock spring... he said he could do the repair in less that 1 hour... he felt 90% confident that is the problem?? I'm going back in the middle of week to make a counter offer on the asking price with this problem in mind.....
Maybe unfold couple 100 bucks on the deal??

Keep working on the dealer.
He should fix it on his dime or give you a couple of hundred off on it.
Some states is is illegal to sell one with the air bag light on.

MT; I checked for KY,, no law on the light on "AIR BAG"
