differential lock-up

ok, 1994 prizm a/t 3speed. leaking caused differential to run low of fluid. it makes noises mostly at highway speeds. question = if i,m short on money now can i just keep on driving and ignore the noise? will the c/v,s fall off eventually or what? what will the ultimate outcome of not repairing this critter be?will it get unbearably loud??

No, you need to get under the car and fill it till it runs out of the filler hole...unless you want to replace the transmission too.
