Lightbulb First Project of '06 - Toyota Soarer (In Progress)

Finally I get to start a new kit, this time in the form of a 1/24 scale 1991 Toyota Soarer/Lexus SC400 by Fujimi. I'm really not sure what I want to do with it, but this is a beautiful car and I have to do it justice somehow. Any ideas?

Here's what we have so far, simple gray primer and the factory wheels. Hopefully something will come of it.

thanks

Lol, I cant find any good VIP wheels for the life of me. Everyone is either sold out, or they have the old S-Parts wheels.

stick in a 2jz from the supra kit and throw on some staggered bbs meshies, black with chrome lips. Make the car black too.

I made a call to the guys down in R&D and they sent me back this picture. Is that what I think it is?

That Supra may soon find itself a new powerplant.

Re: First Project of '06 - Toyota Soarer (In Progress)

Upon further review, it seems cutting up the chassis to fit the 2Jz into the Soarer is going to make the model weak and flexible, it would have required way too much risky cutting than I want to mess with. I'll add a few more pictures in a bit, she is prepped and ready for paint, now if only I had a set of wheels.

I stepped on it and broke it! No, just kidding, but she is prepped and ready for paint. Here it sits in the garage, it's wearing wheels from an Enzo, but obviously those are for the Enzo, :P

Re: First Project of '06 - Toyota Soarer (In Progress)

It's finally starting to come together and look like a car.

With it's future brothers.

Not the best example but I think I may do it this color, yay, nay?

(Wow, my camera really catches dust nicely, wouldnt you say? :P)
