99 Tahoe, Flasher won't stop "clicking".
Signals work fine, but when the signal lever is in center position (not up for right, or down for left) the flasher won't stop clicking! Getting to be very annoying. Any one have any ideas?

The only info I have gotten on this so far is through a co worker. He has a 2000 Blazer. His was doing the same, under warranty the dealer replaced it. He just called the tech and parts department. Apparently they replaced the signal switch, which is a multifunction switch. Parts counter says on the high side the switch is around $300.

Now I have taken the fuse out for my hazards which stops the clicking noise if i have the hazards turned on (but no visual signal). Now when I want to use the turn signal, I have to depress the hazards and choose left or right. It is kind of a humorous activity if I do say so myself. I took the truck into the Chevy dealership and they tried to tell me just to look at it and find out what was wrong would cost me a good 200 dollars. No thanks...I'll stick with what I've got. I can't stand dealer prices... |

Re: Re: 99 Tahoe, Flasher won't stop
The same problem started on my '99 Tahoe this week. Dealer quoted me approx. $300 for new switch assemblies.
Has anyone tried to fix this themselves? I'm not sure the Steering Wheel and Airbag need to be removed or not. I was hoping to just remove the Column Covers and be able to unscrew the switch assembly and detach the harnesses. Quote:
