ignition module wiring

i have aquired a sapphire 1.8 cvh on a carb, the car is a donor for a jeep which is presently powered by a pinto, i want to strip out all the wiring from the loom for the ignition system, does anyone have the ignition system wiring on file they can send me?.
i read that the edis 4 module on the escort can be used without its injection counterpart, i am contemplating fitting one of these, using the escort coil pack and doing away with the dizzy, just not sure about the crank sensor, whether the positioning of the vrs is correct for the edis system
