Too many miles?

I have a chance to buy a "winter beater" 94 Explorer. Vehicle has no rust, still has original plastic seat covers on (Original owner), only modification was to replace factory front hubs with "warn" models

Vehicle has 250,000 and uses 1/2 qt between changes. No leaks, smoke etc

Would you be afraid of the miles on the 4.0 liter?

Cost is 1,500.00

If at all possible, could you send email to [email protected]

The using a half quart between changes is not good, but i would think the only way to tell is to drive it and see how it drives. It would probably work for a car just through the winter but i would not expect much more than that from it.
