z31 rebuild

I'm in the market to rebuild my motor which isnt in the best condition. I over heated it and now I need to rebuild it. Where can I find a rebuild kit ,but I'm not looking for a stock rebuild. I want to get forged interals.

how many hp would that kit be able to handle? how much boost would they be able to handle? Im aiming to get about 500 hp to the wheels.

Re: z31 rebuild

500 whp on a z32 isn't that big of a deal really... it's relatively easy to get to and is prettymuch the max before you need to rebuild the engine...

on the z31 it's a bit tougher to do because of the sohc configuration and the lack of VVT, along with a few other things... mind you with an upgraded turbo and rebuilt engine with injectors and an ecu reprogramming, you can make quite a bit of hp..

oh i forgot to say that you can also use z32 internals (forged rods.. good to well over 700rwhp) and the pistons are stronger, but not forged, so you could probably get some weisco's and toss em on the z32 rods and have a rock solid setup.... the only reason for going with aftermarket rods is because they're a bit more refined and lighter...

maybe i should do a z31 modifying writeup...
