Unhappy '97 528i Windshield trim gone.

Has anyone had the rubber trim around the windshield dry-rot and fall away? There is nothing left of mine. Can anyone tell me If this can be replaced or is it integrated into the windshield seal? Any responses appreciated. Thanks

I have a '98 528 and the windshield seal is slowly cracking away. I am hoping to have my windsheild replaced when another rock hits it. ;-)

BMW 528 windshield

I had the same problem and I had the rubber replaced. I had to take the windshield out and put the rubber around it. It can be done by any windshield replacement placement.
