Hello All
![]() I've been searching the net but I'm not finding anything. I need to know if there is a 3rd seat option for a '99 Yukon? Getting a good deal on a pristine Yukon from the Grandparents, but if I can't throw a 3rd bench in it probably wont work out for me. Thanks!! |

Re: Is there a 3rd seat option for '99 Yukon?
Hi,
99 was a cutover year between old body style (more square) and new body style (more rounded). Lift the carpet and look for mounting screw holes. The NBS Yukon (short body, not XL) can fit a 3rd bench, BUT it is really only for LITTLE KIDS. Your knees are up. There is no foot well in the floor pan and not much room after the 3rd bench for cargo. You really need a long body Yukon XL or Suburban for a true adult size 3rd bench plus cargo space behind it. I had 2 adults in mine: one over 250 lbs, one over 300 lbs, and they both were comfortable. 3 kids or slimmer adults are fine there, too. I had a 95 OBS Suburban and my 2001 NBS Yukon XL is so much better: Finally with a liftgate and the spare tire is under the truck, for starters. Can you get the good deal and then trade it for a 2000 NBS Yukon XL? Take care, Eggert

In 1999 there were Suburbans and Yukons. The Suburbans became Yukon XL in 2000. There was no 3rd row option for 1999 Yukons. You can however purchase a 3rd party rear facing seat that can be installed in the rear cargo area.
