94 ga se 3100 v6 replace by 90 3.1 v6

i needed to know if a 90 3.1 v6 would replace my 3100 v6 in my 94. if it will fit would i have to have the onboard computer also from the 90 make?

Check the salvage yards, but I believe this is a direct exchange, no computer issues

dittio, it should be an exact swap. mounts are all the same. May want to also just look over all the plugs from both motors to make sure the sensors use the same plug-ins.
As maxwedge said check the salvage yard, they should know exactly what you'd need for the swap.

thank you both the offer is a 90 3.1 v6 70000 ml and trans 50000 ml for $400 so i think ill grab it up then ty much for the help

I would grab the cpu just in case there is an issue. Thats just me.

ty guys it looks like he has the computer too. now hes wants to trade a laptop for this engine and transmission. looks like this turned out to be one i couldnt pass up even if i didnt need the engine. i would really like to find a 3100 though of the same year just to keep the ga original. you guys know what i mean. thx again PEACE
