95 blazer won't start
last week my blazer started like surging at speeds of 10 - 20 mph. it was like I was running out of gas or had water in the gas. Now it will not start..... when i first start to hit it it's like it wants to but then justs turns over. any help is appreciated
could it be my fuel filter? pump? |

Please advise if yours is4.3 motor and if it is a thottle body type motor (Vin Z) or a CPI injection (type W). Need to get a fuel pressure test first, before doing anything else. Pressure varies greatly depending on what engine you have. Possible causes include plugged filter, fuel pump, pump relay, shot pressure regulator, stuck EGR valve, bad ignition module (inside your distributor) and more....

Re: 95 blazer won't start
Its possible. But before you go and replace your Fuel Pump, you should check a few other things.
1) When you turn your ignition switch on. Do you hear your fuel pump priming? If so, 2) Check your fuel line pressure to ensure that you have between 62 - 65psi with your ignition switch on. If not, then you probably have a bad fuel pump. Also, 3) Check inside your plenum to see if there is any washing (gold tone in color) inside. If you do. You'll probably need to replace your CPI. Let us know what you find. |
