engine mounting

hello all

I am trying to take off the engine mount, in order to take off cam belt. On my cd manual it says undo the engine mounting bolts in a special order but then doesnt say what the order is. so have posted to see if anyone knows the order. Not sure if the engine mount bolt (torqued to 88Nm & passes through the rubber insulators holds the engine mount bracket) is undone before the 2 smaller bolts which hold the mount to the engine.

regards Dave

Re: engine mounting

What year and model engine (size & type) are you talking about?

1993 space waggon, 4G63 engined, 1997 cc, petrol. I have the manual on a CD but it doesnt give engine mount/bracket torques. Only the 88nm for the big bolt passing through the rubber mounts. So need to know what order they are meant to come off in & the torque settings to redo them up.

all the best Dave

Sorry. Cant help with that engine. I don't think we have them in the US and if we do, I don't have any experience with removing it's engine mount. What I do have is my 1990 Factory service manual but that's for a 3.0L v6 Montero engine.

On a side not, that manual on CD is probably a far cry from the factory service manual. I suggest buying the mitsubishi factory service manual instead.
