Talking my wicked retro style chevy pickup, pics working!!

sadly the pictures don't show the quality of this fantastic pickup, heavily modified and restored from an earlier model (i originaly made this back in 1995, bright yellow!!)

the paint is soooo deep and mint, that every surface i put it on is reflected back to the body!! i used a 35mm camera with a telescoptic lens but i was holding it by hand so out of 24 pictures, these five are the only non shakey ones!

i don't know how i can get the pics like the ones i've seen here, they show so much detail and make my model look shit when in reality its really good!

comments on the truck please! yes it has proper suspension (robbed off other models and modified) viper alloys, and pretend the interior is red leather....mmmm i want a real one!!

c'mon, hurry up and fix the damm thing!

i'm doing what they say and doublechecked and i'm doing it right but they're not coming up. they said it's over loaded, well why don't they delete threads over 3 or 4 months old thus clearing out old pics to allow new ones. huh?

well i've sorted it, shame the pics aren't good quality as the pics i've seen on other posts. makes me look crap.

least i got a full sized model to do now, a full body restoration on my 1973 amc javelin, v8 full strip down except engine and running gear, full repair to bodywork, respray in gloss black, chrome window surrounds, lowered, big alloys and fat tyres, etc!! pictures of before resto when developed, don't laff! its a good solid motor!!

this is what it should look like afterwards...

a bit more about the pickup, after i stripped it, i built a new chassis using the original drivetrain, rear axle but robbed the suspension of other kits in my box of old kits. i rubbed off the side mouldings and rubbed the bumpers smooth. when originally made their was a front splitter, but it's now too low to fit it. the handles were smoothed over and the door lines filled in to create the impression of welded in doors. since the chassis runs thru the middle of the truck, the engine is raised so the bonnet had to be recut to allow for more clearance. interior was remade with a larger trans tunnel but still using original seats and dash. cos the front was so low, i had to cut away the innerwings. then several coats of tamiya gloss black and a bit of polish to finish. red bumpers and rear lights to break it away from the black. and the highlight, the checkered roof. i love this model and is good enough to convince me to want a real one!!
