Spark Plug Change out ?

I have a 04 TB EXT 4x4 and want to change out the plugs with Bosch 4+ . I know the factory ones are "so called good for 100k " but I do alot of highway travel. I see that there is one bolt to undo which has two stages, now thats off I am a bit afraid of pulling to hard to get the cap off. Is there a trick to get them them off or do I just pull?

Re: Spark Plug Change out ?

Why on earth would you pay that much money for spark plugs?

Highway driving is easy on plugs.

How many miles do you have on them?

Re: Spark Plug Change out ?

Yea, I would agree with the other posters here. I bought my Bosch Platinum +4 plugs in July, installed them on my 02 TB with about 50k on it, and I wish I would have got the Denso Iridium plugs instead. My TB doesnt get any better mileage than before, and the Denso plugs have performed better in the I6 than the +4s have. Ohh, well, Im a little upset for paying $35 for the plugs. Next time at 100k it will be the Densos.

I'm getting ready to R&R the plugs on my '02 TB and have been considering Iridium Plugs as I don't plan on doing this again for another 4 years. What makes you believe that the Iridiums are going to give longer service? Will they improve gas mileage?, etc. I'm not as much worried about the cost as I am about the time. Thx

Re: Spark Plug Change out ?

I have heard really good reviews about them, but that is what I would put in, not exactly what everyone else might. I understand your concern, as I am the same way. I just think the Bosch Plat. +4s are way overhyped for what they actually do.
