ECT Power

What exactly is the ECT Power button/ what is it for. I have heard it will make the Tacoma perform better and go faster...is this true??

nearly all of those buttons will just make the transmission shift later than normal. I don't think they actually increase power.

what it does is allows the transmission to shift at higher rpm's without having to to floor it. no extra power. just more of the ability to accelerate faster and not use as much gas. that is when you have someting heavy in the bed or towing something, not under normal driving.
