1999 S10 Blazer transfer case engaged

I have a few problems with the 4X4 system. The transfer case is engaged which keeps the front driveshaft turning even though the four wheel drive buttons aren't pushed. I have vacuum to a selenoid that is located on the firewall that feeds the servo, but the selenoid does not get power to open and let the servo pull the cable to engage the front axle. The servo, the selenoid, and I believe the push button switches are all good. I can hear the control module clicking and noises coming from the transfer case with each mode I choose with the buttons. All other forums I've read, none mention this selenoid, but with it in 2WD and in park the front driveshaft won't turn freely. Sorry for the long script but this is driving me crazy. Thanks for any help.

Re: 1999 S10 Blazer transfer case engaged

Welcome to AF there boch224

I know what you mean, and I really doubt that a search will show you anything.

I was planning on looking into this subject in the next couple of days if the weather keeps up (colder than he*l here) and do a write up on 4wd troubleshooting.

So if you don't get an answer check this forum in a couple of days.

Sorry that I don't have the answer right now
