put some polyurethane bushings in...EASY!!!
i just put h&r lowering springs on my 95 civic and there awesome, but when i got to the back of the car, i broke 2 bolts and needed new bushings. i then decided to get the energy suspension master polyurethane bushing kit.... bought it for 120$ and THEN read up on them... what i read sucked and i thought it would be a pain to do. BUT!! it totally wasnt even what i expexted and was actually quite easy!, im happy now and cant wait to get the front poly in and see how my ride is affected.
Heres how i did it. 1.took my rear lower control arm, put it in a vise and started heating the bushing up with a propane torch 2. i took a pair of vise grips and twisted the middle metal... thing... the metal inside of the oem bushing, and eventually pulled it out 3. then took a sawzall and cut all the way through the metal sleeve in 2 places: top and bottom... dont worry about cutting into the control arm, it wont affect it, but dont go cutting a 1/4 inch in... actually it might help keep lube close to the bushing, lol 4. then you take a punch and hammer and punch out the metal sleeve 5. you then clean and lube the hole 6. be creative, use the vise and press the polyurethane bushings in with a block of wood on each side so you dont damage the poly.... NO EXPENSIVE PRESS NEEDED!!! thats all there is to it... pretty easy i thought... and my car was from the great lakes area and most the bolts were seized... that sucked and was the longest part... but if anyone is planning on poly bushings, do it this way, its easy... dont pay 600$ for a shop to do it.... do it yourself!!
