1994 MPV - Timing Belt

I was driving down the road the other day and the engine died. I coasted into a parking lot and later found out my timing belt broke.

Is this something I can repair myself? If so what specialized tools may I need? Based on the engine quitting, is there the strong possiblity that other unseen damage has occured?

Please advise.
