Will a 2004 4t40E fit a 1997 cav with a 4t40e

Is a 2004 cavalier 2.2 ecotec trans a direct fit into a 1997 cavalier with a 4t40e and the old 2.2

What are the changes needed for this to fit,if any. thanks
I don't want my car to be all rigged to get it to fit in. I want it to fit exactly as the old one did unless there are minor changes like cooler lines or something like that. thanks for any help
