89 Cadillac Deville Seat Problems

Can someone help me with a driver's seat question. I have an 89 Deville and the driver's seat will not move backward. All other positions work. I've checked underneath the seat and no debris is in the path. How do I get the seat to function properly once again?

make sure the cable is not broken, and the motor is working. Check the switch make sure is is working for that function
