Nevermind, I found out the problem.
Code 51: Air bag diagnostic monitor internal thermal fuse. --- Fuse blown due to intermittent short to ground. Which means that I need to either take it to the dealer, or do it myself. I also found this out: "It could a bad steering clockspring assembly which is not uncommon." I have no idea what that means. So Im not sure what Im gunna do. |

You have the correct info. It means a "short" exists and MUST be repaired before replacing the Air Bag Computer or you will probably damage the new computer. A list of codes can be found at http://probefaq.org/service/airbag-fault.html Too bad we coudn't fix this without Dealer intervention but unless you can find the short I wouldn't mess with it!
P.S. I'll be traveling out of the country soon and will probably not be checking this board. Hope I have been of some assistance!! |
